File incompatiblity with Powepoint 2003?

Powerpoint presentations created or edited in Powerpoint:Mac 2004 (11.2.4)
will not open in PC Powerpoint 2003. They open fine in Powerpoint 2002, and
when saved in that program, will then open in Powerpoint 2003.

Has anyone seen the same? Any fixes?

In PowerPoint 2003, you need to go to the Help menu and choose Check for
Updates. Follow the instructions to install SP2. This should fix the
problem. PowerPoint 2003 had this problem (not just with Mac files) when it
was first released. This was quickly fixed with a service pack, but not
everyone has installed the lastest service packs.

Start PPT 2003, choose Help, Check for Updates.
Apply any recommended updates.

That'll usually solve this problem.
