Hi...I've got a brand new MacPro laptop and the PPT 2004..I've created
slide show with one of my iTunes tracks playing thoughout th
presentation. I want the show to loop...play continuously and the musi
as well. I put in 999 for music to play however, it only plays for
slide on the second showing. It's on the Media Player format...don'
know how to change that or if I need to. Can you help? (This is soo
much fun!!)

Thanks a bunch,

I'm having the same problem.  However, I have found out that you must
use the same background on a slideshow for this to work.  You can not
change slide background to insert a song.

I've got it down to:

1.  You must have the slide open you want to start the song on,
2.  On toolbar INSERT - Movies & Sounds,
3.  Sounds from file,
4.  Then I tunes will pop open for the song selection,
5.  Keep selecting until you get the song,
6.  Button will say INSERT...

That's as far as I got....Mine keeps giving the error code... not able
to perform function.

Sorry, that's not much help, but it may be a start

Hi..thanks for your reply. All my slides are on the same background..
do have photos inserted with titles which are animated. Photos are not
No slide transisitions, either. It's weird, cuz the song will star
again with the first slide  (on the second go around) but then it stop
when the second slide begins. I've double clicked on the sound icon an
hit the loop button, but to no avail. I've even searched my Powerpoin
for Dummies but they don't address this issue. Any other ideas?

Thanks so much!!

Laurie,

I can help you with the inserting of your music. You must convert you
music selection (if on iTunes) to the WAV format. You can do that i
iTunes preferences-Import-WAV.

Then, on powerpoint preferences, go to General-Link sounds with file
greater than 999. (change the numbers to 999)

If that doesn't work (it didn't for me), then when you're selectin
your music off iTunes for powerpoint, open iTunes, select song b
clicking on it, then go to ADVANCED and select convert to WAV format
Then, you will be able to insert this tune as a sound file.
Good luck and thanks for your efforts!

John,

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I'll try it! Not sure if it'l
work on the mac, but certainly worth the try.

Thanks again!
