hello how to create powerpoint slides that are uneditable, that has more security option for not copying or any sorts like this? First thing that comes to mind - take a look in PPt Help using the search term Powerpoint Movie. That may serve the intended purpose. Otherwise, please provide more detail on what you are trying to accomplish. Hello, The reason why you want to create slides that can not be edited is somewhat related to the answer to your question. Are you worried about copyright? Your presentation, whether editable or not, is covered by copyright law (in the USA at least). There are options including to Save As Movie, and 3rd party products such as Impatica. Perhaps this question should have been answered first - What version of PowerPoint are you using? It sounds like you may be on a Windows PC version, *not* the Macintosh version. If so the instructions will be different, so please give complete information in order to be guided in the right direction. See TAJ's suggestion re Password to Modify or, save a copy using File>Save as Web page, or use File>Package for CD, click Options & apply a PW to Modify Each File. AFAIK, each of those options will support your animations & won't 'convert' slides to pictures. For other possiblities post to the *Windows* PowerPoint newsgroup. As said by others, if someone wants to pirate your work they will find a way, but you may find that these options will prevent anyone from changing the content displayed in the original file. When you convert the powerpoint to flash, the animation schemes will be retained, what's more, it cann't be modified, and you can set password for your flash to limit the file visitor. This is called plagiarism and would probably be grounds for dismissal at any reputable academic institution. I would suggest that you file a formal complaint against the people who're plagiarizing your work. If you like, we can show you a couple ways of hiding little bits of information that prove that it's yours. For starters, you can supply your name as Author and add other keywords and comments in Document Properties. Include a custom property or two with e.g. a coded version of your name. Choose View, Master, Slide Master and drop in a bit of text ... "This presentation was stolen from [your name]" for example. Make it very small, move it to the very bottom of the slide and assign it the same color as the background. When challenged, all you need to do is select the text and change the color to make it visible again. That'd pretty well prove it's your work and not the plagiariast's. If you want to take it a few steps beyond, there are other tricks.
