I've looked all over for an answer to this, but can't seem to find one.
I do consulting work for a Korean company and regularly get Powerpoint
files written in English, but created in Korean versions of Powerpoint
PC.  When I edit the files, none of the words will wrap correctly in
the text boxes - they all wrap by splitting the words.  I have tried
the language features - enabling Japanese - but can't get the "line
break" option to show up in my format menu.  Is there some way to get
the english words to wrap at the end of the word?

I suspect that Korean is like Japanese in this respect:  our roman alphabet is
part of the standard character set for their language.  That is, they can be
writing in their language and still use our alphabet.  Or to move it closer to
home, the font, character set and language might be Korean, even though the
text uses only the roman alphabet to write English words.

Try selecting the text box(es) and using Tools, Language to set the language to
English.
