I have a .pps file on a server. This file, when opened on the server will
allow me to link to another file, but when I save it to my desktop or attach
it to an outlook email, the .pps file will open, but the link won't. Can you
tell me what I need to do to correct this?
Thanks!

Chances are that the link breaks when you move the file. Either the links
are relative links (generally links to other files in the same folder as
the original) and the other files didn't move with the original. Or the
links are absolutely links (including complete path information for the
other files) in which case that path might not be valid on the computer
to which you downloaded it.

The advice from the PPT FAQ is largely for Windows, but some of it
applies:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or
email a presentation
