Using Imac G5 10.4.3 and Office x I received an email with "pps"
attachment and it worked just fine, forwarded to my wife using
Powerbook G4 and Office 2004 and worked fine.  Forwarded to a friends
BRAND NEW IMac G5 OSX 10.4.3 and Office x. File would not open. and a
message came up requesting they buy ILife or IWork, dont remember for
sure which.  I had them change the Tag from PPS to PPT and the file
then opened.  Is this a preference issue ???

With a PPS file, have the user select it and go to File > Get Info.  Under
"Open With", select "Microsoft PowerPoint" from the menu.  If it's not in
the list, click "Other", and manually select PowerPoint.  Then click "Change
All" in the Get Info window.

Mickey:
AAAHHH SSOOO.  Many thanks, I had the same issue with Word and these
New Mac user folks. I should have caught that.  Thank you for your
quick reply.
