I would like to play a small Quicktime movie over a larger QT movie, in
the same slide. Is this possible?
Also, I noticed that when the QT movie has finished playing, it returns
to the first movie frame and stops. Can I tell PPT to stop at the
movie's last frame?

You can insert two movies in the same slide, no problem.  To get them
to play at the same time, just choose the 2nd movie in the Custom
Animation dialog, and select "With Previous" from the Start dropdown.

For the last frame issue, select the menu, right click and enable the
"Show Movie Toolbar" option.  From there, click "Show Controller", drag
the scroller to the last frame, then click "Set as Poster Frame" from
the movie toolbar.
