Creating a genealogy/family tree with Organization Chart

Two questions:

I'm trying to create a family tree using Powerpoint's Organization
Chart feature. While it is simple enough to create one parent box with
two subordinate boxes, I can't figure out how to do the opposite (two
manager boxes for each parent connected to one box for the offspring).
Is there any way to do this in PowerPoint?

Also, is there any way to have a completetly new chart/box under this
to start again?

Thank you.

Have you considered using regular rectangles and connector lines from PPT's
drawing tools rather than Org Chart?  Might prove a bit less frustrating in the
long run.
