It seems that recently I cannot cusomize the toolbars. When I select
this command the modifiable menu bar appears below the real one but
there is no dialog to allow editing of toolbars. One cannot see to
select icons or commands to drag to the toolbars. Since does not appear
you also cannot close out of the customization. My only option is to
quit. Often it crashes and the Microsoft Crash reporter pops up.

I wonder if it is related to the recent security update? I have tried
the usual remedies to no effect so far.

Thank you.

Hi,

You might try deleting the PowerPoint toolbar preferences. You should
see a dialog box open when you use Tools > Customize.
