I am using Powerpoint 2004 Mac, but I can't seems to create ppt with videos
that can playback successfully in windows platform. I know many people would
say that you can't insert quicktime movie in your presentation if you want
to port it to windows, but I have tried many different video format, eg.
avi, mpg, mov, but none of them work. I am sure that this is not a file link
issue because I have saved the file as powerpoint package which has a folder
with all my video and presentation files inside.

By the way, when I opened up the video files in hex editor, I discovered
that powerpoint has actually converted all those video files in the
powerpoint package to quicktime videos, though the file extension has not
changed.

Anyone knows the solution? Thanks.

In other words, it's converted them to something that has a very small chance
of running on the average Windows box.  So it's not a solution, it seems.  In
that case, how are you certain it's not a file link problem?

Suggestion:  download the free FixLinks demo (http://get.pptools.com) and
install it on a windows computer.  It won't fix anything, but it won't nag you
either.  And it WILL analyze the presentation and tell you what the links
really are.  If you'd like, post the results here and I'll have a looksee.
