I have copied a presentation from a PC to a Mac with a USB stick. I am
sure it has been copied correctly. After I have altered the
presentation (changed animations) the file disappears from my Mac. I
mean really disappear, not become invisible or anything. IT IS GONE.
I've tried this over and over again but (with copies) but every time
the file vanishes.

Anybody any clue??

Thanks in advance

Hi Rein,

There are a lot of steps that you might have taken along the way.

How did you open the file on the Mac?  Did you copy it to your Mac
before you opened it? Where did you save the changed file - on the Mac
or to the USB stick?  Did you try to use Finder's Apple+F and search for
the file?

Hi Jim,

sorry I've been so long.

I copied the file to the Mac. Opened it by double clicking and worked
on it with Powerpoint. After saving the changes (I saved the file on
the Mac) the file simply vanishes. Completely gone, nowhere to be found
in any which way. The only soluation I have found so far is to save the
file with "save as" and give it another name. Then it stays and I can
work with it. I suspect the file must have been corrupted soem how.

Thanks for your input Jim,

Rien
