I am using PPT 2004 on an E-mac that is running System 10.3.8. In the
last month I have had two different Powerpoint presentations that would
not run on three different Windows laptops that were using PPT 2003. I
used both a CD and a flashdrive to transfer the files and got the same
error message that there was a file missing. I tried saving one of the
presentatons as a PowerPoint Show and sent it as an e-mail attachment
to a friend with a Windows Machine. The file would not open with the
.pps suffix. However if I named the file with the file name followed by
a space and no suffix my friend could open the file while it was
attached to the e-mail, but could not open it on his hard drive. He
opend the file with PowerPoint Viewer. Has anyone had a similar
experience? If so, what did you do to resolve it?

Tell your friends running PPT 2003 to open PowerPoint, go to the Help
menu, and choose Check for Updates. Follow the instructions to install
Service Pack 1. It is likely to take care of the problem.
