Hey all. UNIX refugee.

I just bought a new 14" G4 iBook to compile on. Out of curiousity,
what setting do you guys set for font smoothing? Strangely, its set to
CRT out of the box (which makes little sense).

I've tried light and medium, and both have their advantages and
disadvantages (light usually looks good, but tall letters like "t" are
almost unreadable; meanwhile, medium usually looks good, but bold can
make letters smear).

Does anyone leave it on CRT?

I have a 12" iBook G4 and have mine set to "Medium - best for Flat
Panel", which looks good to me.

Whichever you choose, adjusting the gamma etc. will make the biggest
difference (with SuperCal, for example).
