I noticed that I have hair line cracks in the piece that supports my
hinges above the keyboard.  The hair line cracks are by both hinges.
Can those cracks be repaired?

Googling 'powerbook hinge cracks' yielded this page:

A repair not for the fainthearted. In the meantime, use a Torx T-8 screw
driver to loosen the hinges so there is less stress on them, but not so
loose the screen flops.
