I have an IBOOK G4 which I need to replace the lcd screen.

Can I replace a LG Philip LP121X04 (C2)(K2) 1024/768 pixel XGA 12.1"
screen with a LP121 800/600 pixel SVGA 12.1" screen?

The LG Philips LP121X04 (C2)(K2) 1024/768 pixel XGA screen is $395 at
ScreenTek.  I really only need a 800x600 pixel SVGA screen which are
$100, because it is only used for IM and email.

Screentek has 11 different 800/600 pixel screens for $100 - will
any/all of them work instead?

Thanks
Bill

Jackie,

Unfortunately you cannot upgrade or downgrade resolutions without
getting other parts. For example, the video cable will be different and
so will not be able to connect. In addition, the internal mounting
brackets for the LCD more than likely will not match either. FYI - I am
with ScreenTek. Customers in the past have asked us if they could
upgrade to a higher resolution and we tell them no you cannot. See Q&A
#4 on our FAQ page (http://www.screentekinc.com/faq.shtml#technical).
