PowerBook G3 Wallstreet + Virtual PC

Hi all,

I have a PowerBook G3 Wallstreet II (300MHz) running Mac OS 9.2.2

What is the lastest version of Virtual PC which will run on my system with
adequate amounts of RAM installed?

I'm not looking for any heavy duty Windows/PC related gaming under
emulation, just some light duty Windows/PC emulation, from time to time.

Anybody here with experience with Connectix (or Microsoft) Virtual PC for
the Mac....specifically with running it on a PowerBook G3 Wallstreet?

Thanks in advance.

works, but very slow, and has problems supporting USB devices when a
USB/PCMCIA is used.

Which version of Virtual PC + Windows x.x should I look for a PowerBook G3
Wallstreet II (300 MHz) + OS 9.2.2 ?

A relative of mine has a Power Mac G3 Desktop (beige, 266MHz) + OS 9.2.2
with an Orange Micro PCfx! card in one of the PCI slots (200MHz IDT
WinChip) card running Windows 98 and it seems to run at adequate
speeds.....mind you it's not running anything too taxing for the Win 98
system, but it is adequate enough for his requirements. My requirements
are similar for my PowerBook G3 Wallstreet II.

Since I'm on the subject......for the Orange PCfx! card in a beige G3
Desktop.....is Windows 98 or Windows 98SE as far as one can push that card
or can one possibly squeeze out Windows ME or Windows 2000 on that
particular PCI card performance wise? Windows wise.....I have no idea how
to install anything other than the supplied (green CD) Orange Micro PCi
application which automatically installs Windows 98 (not SE)....not sure
if upgrading to 98SE or better is even possible unless the Orange PCi
installer comes with it (which his doesn't)....I understand there was an
orange colored CD from Orange Micro which came with Windows 98SE....wished
I could find it for my relative.

regards
