Has anyone had this problem and then removed the piece of plastic over
the rear vent?  Did this take care of the problem?

thanks

I've been working with my macbook 2 ghz white for over a week. There
was no plastic covering over the vent when it arrived, and I have had no
problems with overheating.

Hope this helps
