Anybody,

My PB G4 can't start at all, even if it can only in few minutes then it
will hang. The problem start with a terible noise (on the hard disk
maybe). After that the problem gone worst. Now after running the Tech
Tools program suddenly it hang and after that it wont start at all.
Maybe you guys can give some advise how to tackle this problem. Thought
of changing the hard drive, but is it going to help. What kind of hard
drive can be use. Kind that easy to get here in KL.

Please help me.

The terrible noise is ominous.

I assume you tried to start up from your Mac OS CDs.

I assume that the Powerbook is fully charged.

You can try to reset the Power Manager. How this is done varies.  How
to do it on your model can be found in the following article:

Try www.pbfixit.com for info on replacing the hard drive.  There are
quite a few powerbook hard drive manufacturers - Toshiba, Hitachi, IBM,
and others.
