Hi usenet,

I was compiling software on my two month old powerbook and went to
sleep last night.  It was plugged in and fully charged.

When I awoke, it was off, the battery was dead, and it will no longer
charge with the standard powerbook power adapter.

I'm a bit surprised that I have what seems to be a brick now as it
doesn't seem to want to be powered.  Does anyone have any
troubleshooting ideas for me?

TIA

Did you try another outlet?

Slap a meter on the power supply and see whether it's delivering power.
If it's not, the power supply goes to Apple
If it is, the computer goes to Apple.
Your machine is under warranty, and you get 90 days of free phone
support (unless you bought AppleCare) and I strongly suggest you use it.

'indiana' is a 'nolnn' and 'hoosier' is a 'solkk'. Indiana doesn't solkk.

Call Apple and ask them to arrange to fix your PowerBook for you under
warranty.
