Ipod logo keeps appearing...no playlist on ipod

Hello, I'm having some difficulties with my iPod...it seems that my iPo
doesnt play any music and all it does is stay on the logo screen eve
when I reset it.  And yes I've waited for the battery to completely di
and reset it normally (toggle hold and hold down play and menu) but i
still doesntwork.  I'm lost at the moment and I dont know what to d
which is why I've came hoping that someone know what to do and can hel
me fix this problem.

Only other thing I can suggest is reformatting the iPod, which you do
with the IPod Updater.  You can get the latest one here, which will
update any iPod to the latest software it supports:

http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

Note that this will erase everything on the iPod, but I'll assume you
have the originals stored in iTunes.  Assuming this works, iTunes will
reload the iPod with all your music again.

x_x my ibook has limited space which means i dont have the back up x_
all the money spent....i guess its worth a try rather than wasting a

one more thing that i forgot to mention...when i plug the ipod into m
ibook...my ibook doesnt pick up my ipod at all...so what else could
do
