Can the iPOD Nano act as an external hard/flash drive to transfer data
from one PC to another. Currently I use little USB Flash drives.

Certainly. Any iPod is really a USB flash drive that can play music.

You may want to give PodMaxx a try:

http://www.unlockpod.com

It will let you transfer files both ways, even using your iPod as a
backup drive for your PC, that is if you're using Windows at all.

It's only $20, and it's worth a look!

cheers

So, are you an affiliate of that company, or what?  You keep telling
people to look at that program when they are asking how to do things
that the standard iPod/iTunes software support out of the box.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, whois record for unlockpod.com
reveals the Jeff Homan is not just someone who bought it an liked
it as he portrays in some posts he's made.

In a terminal window, type

   whois unlockpod.com
