I've got an 800 mhz g4 12" Ibook and the right speaker sounds
distorted, as if it were "blown."  It's all buzzy.  Is it even possible
to blow the speakers on an ibook?  I suspect a physical problem rather
than software since the left speaker doesn't appear to have a problem.
Zapping the pram did nothing.

Anyone else experience this?

also, I don't know why one speaker blew and not the other.  Odd.

A common occurance is debris falling thru the speaker grill onto the
speaker cone. Try it with the ibook upside down to see if this might be
your problem.

If it were common you'd think there'd be more discussion of it on
usenet, but you were absolutely right, and quick visit from the Hoover
fixed it.  Thank  you!
