iPod mini connection problems, HELP!!

Hi, I just bought a iPod mini, and now I'm having problems with my
USB cable, 1 week ago it was working fine, but now it only charges,
the sign 'Do not disconnect' I never saw it anymore, Can anyone
help??? please :?:

My only suggestion, unless you have another cable to try at home
(unlikely) would be to reset the iPod:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705

If that doesn't work, call Apple or go to one of their stores if you
have one nearby, and they can test it and see if it's the cable or the
iPod.  In either case, since you just bought it, the problem should be
covered under warranty.

I'm trying to reset but I cant, I toggled the 'hold' switch on and
off then I held the menu buttom but its not reseting, so what do I
do now???

You need to hold Menu *and* Select (the center button in the middle of
the clickwheel) until it resets.  Menu by itself doesn't do it.

Glad I could help.  It's rare that I need to reset my iPod, but every
once in a while it'll lock up on me.  (Usually when I'm playing a very
short sound clip.)
