TiBook / AppleTalk and Wireless

Hi there,

Looking for some advice.

I have a TiBook and an original Airport base station. An Epson printer
which has an ethernet card which relies on AppleTalk for printing. I
borrowed a friends SkyLine Wireless card which helped extend my poor
wireless range in the house however this does not support AppleTalk so
I cant use wireless printing.

The easiest solution I thought would be to get a PC card that supports
AppleTalk. I found the MacWireless 11g but I cant find a UK supplier.
Any other suggestions or suppliers?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Michelle

Michelle-

Are you sure about the card not supporting AppleTalk?  I know that can be
a problem with a router, but thought the Wireless card itself didn't care
what kind of packets it passed.

I assume you previously connected to the printer via Ethernet.  In OS 9,
be sure your AppleTalk Control Panel is set to the Wireless card rather
than Ethernet.  In OS X System Preferences, be sure the Network settings
for the Wireless card includes DHCP under TCP/IP, and that "Make AppleTalk
Active" is checked under the Wireless card's AppleTalk tab rather than in
the Ethernet setup.
