Adaptec AHA-1480A driver for PowerBook?

I have the opportunity to get an Adaptec AHA-1480A SCSI cardbus adapter to
use in my PowerBook G3/400.

A look at Adaptec's support pages shows a driver (OS 9 and OS X) for the
AHA-1480 but not the 1480A.

Is anyone using the -A adapter with these drivers? Is it possible? Are there
any other (public domain?) drivers available for this combination (AHA-1480 &
any Mac OS)?

Other options?

A passing reference to the AHA-1480A & Mac OS (doesn't mention whether 9 or
X). This reference is in a question asked by a customer, not a reply posted
by Adaptec support.

Model is APA-1480, not AHA-1480.
