White Spots in 12" Powerbook?

I have a 12" Powerbook (1.33gHz) that is about six months old. It
appears to be developing the faint white spots that affected many of
the 15" machines a short while ago. I checked out the recall page for
the 15" and saw where it shows the spots to be most often. Sure enough,
the three or four spots I believe are developing on my Powerbook
coincide roughly with the diagram on that page.

My question is: has anyone heard of or knows of any other 12's with
this problem?

I'm pretty certain that this isn't impact damage or abuse. I baby this
laptop, keep it in a good, padded case and out of the cold, heat and
such.

We have a couple of Apple Stores in town & I'll be hitting one of them
with it to see what the folks there have to say.

Cheers.

Damn, that would be too bad. Have you checked out the forums on Apple's
own site? apple.com>Support>Discussions

I found one posting & the folks got  "impact damage" responses  from
Apple.

I'm not optimistic about getting Apple to take care of this.

IIRC, the sequence of events with the 15" was denial/happenstance, case
by case repair with no admission, finally admission

Same sequence with iBook logic boards.

Maybe I'm a pioneer. One thing in my favor, I think, is that I can see
absolutely no marks of any kind on the lid of my Powerbook, which
appears to have been an issue with the folks posting to the Apple
Kbase.
