Hi folks:

I have an odd battery issue going on here.  I had send my Pismo off to get
some work done on it.  When I sent it out, the battery I had was generally
carrying a charge for about an 1:30 or so.  At some point during the work
process, I was told that the battery was (suddenly, AFAIK) no longer
holding a charge.  I figured OK, I've had it for about three years, I
hardly ever use it, maybe it was about time for it to die.

So, after all the work is done and I have the Pismo back, I get a new
battery (well, a new refurbished battery).  It shows up, I plug it in, and
presto, a 3-hour+ battery is now mine for the using.

That was two weeks ago.  For some reason today I decide to have a look at
the state of my new battery . . . and Pismo tells me it has 0 hours on it.
Completely drained.  I already tried a reset--I'm told that can jolt a
battery to life, but no dice.  Regardless, to have this happen with two
different batteries makes me wonder if the people who did work on my Pismo
shorted out or cut something that should be working otherwise.  So my
question to you, campers, is what do you think might be going on here?  Is
there some piece of circuitry that you think might be a candidate for
having been messed up?  For the record, I got a new CPU card and a new
logic board installed.
