Quick question about the AppleStore. I am pricing out an iBook with
the educational discount, and it says at the bottom that
"AppleCare Protection Plan (APP) for Education Institutions can be
found in the "Special Products" section of your Apple Store. To add
APP to your current order, continue shopping until you have reached
the "Review your order" page where your shopping cart is displayed.
Then select "Continue Shopping" to reach your Apple Store's main page
and click "Special Products" located on the upper right side. Select
the APP you would like to add to your order. "
However, when I go to special products, there is no applecare listed.
Is there some other way to access the educational AppleCare price?
Thanks,
Dave
The Apple Store for my university, as an individual, student sale just
has the APP as an option on the bottom of the customization page. It
also lists it as a clickable option on the accessory page (you know, add
an external drive, display, etc.). It's just part of the regular
checkout, no "Special Products" section.

Yeah, that is what I get too. That's where the text is from; I
inferred that it mean that there was another special price for the
AppleCare.

You are getting a special deal. Actually, at least on the one I looked
up. I picked the Powerbook 15" with Combo Drive and it is regularly
USD1999 and the APP is USD349. In the Univ. store, it is USD1799 and
the APP is USD239.

No, I realize the computer itself is cheaper, but the wording of that
text led me to believe that there was another price for the Applecare
package itself.

There is, it USD239 versus USD349 in the case I gave.
