i have one user that needs to access OWA from a MAC when abroad.
Unfortunately this brings up a message that there is a problem with the
certificate. (the certificate is issued by "domain.local" and OWA is accessed
by "domain.com/exchange" hence the names being different. It is also because
the windows certificate authority is not listed as trusted on the machine.

On a windows system, this is not a problem as the user just clicks "yes" to
proceed and accept the "risk". The mac however does not allow this. Is there
anyway to get around this? I have never used a MAC so have no idea how
certificates are installed or how to bypass the warning.

What web browser are they using and what is the version of the browser.
I have no problem with Safari 1.3. I get a message but it will continue.

Thanks for that Matthew. I've since come accross an article that seems to
suggest that there is no way around it using IE for MAC, but that Netsacpe
will allow you to install the certificate. It also mentioned Safari, though
this isn't a browser I'm familiar with. As you've confirmed that Safari
works, I'll pass the info on.

Thanks again

IE for Mac is dead. It hasn't been updated for a very long time and
probably never will. Safari is the main browser on Mac. I will also use
Firefox.

Hello,

if you want to use Internet Explorer for OWA, then you have to get a
certificate that is known by Internet Explorer. You cannot add a
certificate. This is only possible with Safari, Firefox or Netscape.
