Office 2004 11.3.4 Update

When I try to install the latest update for Office 2004, I get the
following message... "The installer could not locate the correct
version of the software required to install this update. See the Read
Me file included with this software to determine if you software meets
the requirements for this update."

If check my software and it meets all the requirements mentioned in
the Read Me file. I do not want to use one of my installations to
reinstall Office 2004. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I
can do next?

You don't "lose" any installations - MacOffice doesn't use activation
the way WinOffice does, so you can reinstall daily without any problems.

From your post, I can't tell: what update of Office 2004 you have
currently?

Maybe you've done this already; but if not, here's something to check:

Go to your Applications folder > Microsoft Office 2004 > Office. In the
Office folder, look for the file named "Microsoft Component Plugin." The
version for that file should be 11.3.3. If it's anything earlier than that,
you won't be able to install the 11.3.4 update.

Post back and let us know what version you have.
