Will there be a Mac office release that matches office 2007?

Does anybody know what the plans of the MacBU are in relation to the
next version of Office for Mac?  Will it mirror the functionality being
rolled out in Office 2007?  Will it work more effectively with
sharepoint services?  It would be great if there was some way to have a
dialogue with the MacBU for those businesses that are heavy users of
Macs in business.  edward (COO of WhatIf).

All that has been said publicly is that the next release will be a Universal
binary, and will support the new xml file format in Office 2007. Beyond
that, all is speculation, but I would expect the MacBU to take the good
things from the O07 interface and produce something that is mac-centric
rather than a windows port (word 6 got into terrible trouble as a windows
port, although the silver lining was that that debacle led fairly directly
to the forming of the Macintosh Business Unit in MS).
