Does anyone have any idea as to when a newer version of office will be out? My trial version of Office 2004 has just expired, and if a more recent version will be out in a few months, i may hold out on purchasing it right away. No one knows for sure, but I'd guess last quarter of 2007. Later if Win Office 12 doesn't ship this year. Win Office 12 is a HUGE upgrade, and the Mac Business Unit (MacBU) will be doing a phenomenal job to get a compatible version, that runs on both intel Macs and PowerPCs, out within a year of its release. Go ahead and buy 2004! I cannot foresee when the new Mac Office will be released. It is still far from in shape. Yes, go for Office 2004! With the recent service release, the software is pretty stable. You'll love it.
