Mac Forum / Applications / MS Office / December 2005Attachments - Office '98
Call me old fashion - - I have Office '98 on a Mac G3 with OS 10.2.8. Recently both Macs and PCs have been unable to open my attachments. Some have suggested I Save As .doc. That option does not exist for me. Is this a OS problem or Office '98 problem? If you save your file as a Word98 file, it's a ".doc" file - file formats for Mac Word98/01/v.x/04 and Win Word97/00/02/03 are identical. "Some" may have meant to add an extension to the file name (.doc). That may help for people who can't figure out how to associate a file with an application. |
