So i went ahead and downloaded the office 2004 for mac. 186 mb which
took some time (56 kbps line). i got the file in a toast application
format .dmg.bin. my info window tells me that there is 186 mb on the
disk, but i cant open it. the message comes up:

"Toast could not detect the format of "Office2004TestDriveEN.dmg.bin".
Click continue if you are certain that it is a valid disc image".

i do all that but it doesnt mount. nothing happens, and i dont know
what to do next. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Regards

Paul

.bin files should be opened with Stuffit Expander. You should normally have
some version of that app on your hard disk; if you don't (which I think is
the case if you did a clean install of Mac OS X Tiger), here's a download
