Problem registering Office 2004 online

I can¹t register Office 2004 for Mac online because it doesn¹t seem to
accept the Product ID that was provided when I installed the package. The
format the registration process seems to want is according to example
³12345-XXX-7654321-98765² and I assume the XXX¹s are expected to be
alphabetic (?) but those characters in my Product ID are numeric.

Is inability to register going to cause me a problem in the future?

No. The only thing registration does is allow you to sign up for a
monthly e-newsletter (and add to MS's database). Forget about it.
