there was a thread a whiles back about this. i was thinking given IM5.0
has shipped the office patch might be in the works, that solves for
more speed, and spotlight integration.....or am i just farting against
thunder ?

Who ever mentioned anything about Spotlight integration ??? My
understanding is that there is already support for Office file types in
Spotlight (at least for Word) and that putting spotlight in Enoturage
would be awfully complicated.

Yes, the non-email filetypes are spotlight searchable as far as I know,
however there are two facts that should compel MS to make Entourage
spotlight-compatible:
*Office 2004 is pointless without Entourage
*Entourage (and indeed any other mac email program) is pointless
without Spotlight

??? Why ??? I know a lot of people who exclusively use Word and Excel
and a lot of people around me would be just fine using Word Excel and
PPT. You don;t need Entourage for the other apps (though you'd loose the
project center).

Well, a lot of people manage to still use Entourage in MacOS X <10.4
