3 Installs on 3 Different Computers?

I installed Microsoft Office 2004 (Student Edition) on my iBook when I
purchased it, then reinstalled it after some slowdown.  I used two
different access keys...does this mean that I have installed it on two
different computers? Can I use the access key that I used during the
first install again, or will I have to use the third key?

The reason I ask is that my family's going to get an iMac and I will
install it on that, but then when I get a new laptop will I be able to
install using one of the first two access keys?

Thanks.

You could have reinstalled with the same key, that you used first, and yes,
you can use it again.

You can reinstall with the same key as many times as necessary.

Each key can only be associated with ONE active and installed program at a
time.

If switching computers, just remove Office from the old computer and
reinstall using the same key on the new computer.

For "Access Key", do you mean the "key" which comes with the software for
using the software?

If so, I just feel confused how come you have so many access keys? You got 2
already and you seemed to have a third one?! Do you mean you have paid for
the 3 licenses of Office 2004?

Student/Teacher edition comes with three complete licenses.

Dear Colleagues,
I have purchased a copy of Office Pro 2004 for the Mac and was
under the impression that I would be able to install it on more than
computer. After a successful installation on on multiple computers in
my home when two people are using the same Office application a warning
is generated stating that more than one user has the same application
open. Can the Office Pro 2004 version be used on more than one Mac at a
time? Do i have to purchase another license?

No.  The Office 2004 End User License Agreement states that the software can
be installed on one desktop machine and one laptop machine.  However, I
don't think it allows for the software to be used simultaneously on both
machines

> Do i have to purchase another license?

I would think so.  If you are a student or teacher, you can buy the Student
& Teacher Edition, which provides three licenses at a reduced price.

Yes, you need to purchase another license. (Well, another retail box to get
the license number, and see this thread " Re: reconcile serial numbers to
the install discs." for switching licenses without reinstalling).

Only the Student/Teacher edition comes with 3 license numbers.

Other editions can be installed on one laptop and one desktop, but still
only one installation can be active at a time.

Thank you folks for your help. I guess I have to spend more money and
buy the Teacher/student addition for the other computers in the house.
