Hi all.

Whenever I create a file on Windows word including a chart or any other
graphic and then try to load the file onto Mac Word X, I get either a black
graphic or a big red X. Does anyone know why this is?

Do you have EndNote, perhaps?

This link has the state of our knowledge about the Red X problem:

(hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different browser)

I've also had this with some Windows graphic formats (charts made I
don;t remember how).
