Hello,

I am based in UK and I have just installed a fully licensed version of
Office v. X bought in States May 03 2004.

I have only just bought the Mac - the Mini - to install this software
onto.

When I bought it (a leaflet in the packaging confirms this) I was
entitled to a free upgrade to Office 2004.

Now I have installed v. X I cannot register it on-line - link no longer
exists - and I therefore cannot get the free upgrade to Office 2004.

I have got the proof of purchase.

Can someone help please?

Many thanks,
Lynne

I think you needed to request the free upgrade by September, or around then.
Doesn't the leaflet have all the info?  There was a form to send in, but it
was all paperwork, nothing online--you sent in the paperwork and they sent
you a package with a retail upgrade version of Office 2004.

Registering MacOffice does nothing whatsoever except offer you the ability
to sign up for a newsletter, so that's irrelevant.  I'm pretty sure you
didn't need to wait until you had installed Office X to request the free
upgrade.

You could scour the MS Mac site at mactopia.com or try google--the phrase
used was "tech guarantee" but I'm fairly sure you missed the deadline for
the deal.
