I just did a clean install on my blue and white G3, from OS 9.1 to OS
9.2.2, and all my OE addresses, and OE email etc is MIA.
These are really important to me, and I appreciate your help in
advance. Forgive me if this has already been dealt with, I could not find
such a posting.

Most likely your Identities folder is no longer in a path that is being
checked by OE when the application starts.  The correct pathway is
usually...

Mac HD:Documents:Microsoft User Data:Identities:

If you search your HD for the term "Identities" and move/copy the relevant
folder (probably contained within Previous System Folder) into the pathway
above then you should be OK.

I just had the same problem with my IMAC os9.  I called for tech help from
my ATT server and ended up losing all my files and had to install everything
all over.  I installed Outlook Express and then lost all of my e-mails,
address book, etc.  HELP!!!  I can only bring in e-mail through my webmail
and when I try to bring in e-mail I am asked for a password which I do not
have.  I have had my IMAC and Outlook Express for 3 yrs. and have never
needed a password previously.  I am 76 yrs. old and this is all very
confusing to me .... any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
I have lost some very important files and all my e-mail addresses!!!!!!

Gloria,
I'm going through the same problem right now! If you haven't resolved
your issue yet, you should be able to call your Internet Service
Provider (ISP) -(AT&T?) and get your password. It is also important to
make sure that your ISP confirms you have the correct user name,
"incoming mail server" and "outgoing mail server" in the
apple/preferences/network settings. Good Luck!

If you find a way to get your addresses and old emails back please let
me know!
