Hello,

I hope any guros in this group can help.

I have a Mac G4, OS 9.2. I installed Outlook Express 5.0 and it worked
fine for a while until yesterday. When I opened the OE program, it
gave me an error message saying something like "the file cannot be
open. The end of file is missing".

I thought for some reason the Outlook Express 5.0 has a bug. So, today
I downloaded another Outlook Express 5.0. When I double clicked on the
program icon, it gave me an error message saying:

"Unable to execute "OE5.0.6.smi"

You do not have the appropriate priviledges to use this file. (-54)"

I do have Aladdin Stuffit Expander in my computer systems. Can anyone
please tell me what is wrong? What should I do next? Many thanks!

Anne.

The frst problem would probably be fixed if you follow Q010 on
http://machelp.webhop.net/

The second problem is just due to a corrupt download of the new installer.
Trash it and download another copy.

Hello Richard,

Thanks so much for your suggestions. I tried the Q010 and didn't work.
However, I was finally successful in downloading another EO5.0
installer and get it working again. Many thanks!

Anne.
