I'm sharing a flat and presently the same computer. I joined Virgin and I'm
able to get mail etc. I got a list of their newsgroups that I wanted to
subscribe to and sent some postings. The responses i got were very helpful
but the name that is given is who I'm sharing with and the email address is
an old Freeserve account that he had ages ago and had to stop using due to
spam. He joined Freeserve again the day before I joined Virgin.

I'm using Outlook. How do I get the newsgroups that I'm subscribing to to
use my own name which I've given to Virgin? And why did i get a helpful
reply from someone but her reply is headed responding to joebloggsat etc,
when the person I'mn sharing with is called joebloggs. in fact this posting
will be going out probably in his name and it'll be his old freeserve
address.

Can someone help me please because I do have a name. But it'll get really
confusing for the two of us later on if we don't sort this out right now.

You posted to the Macintosh Outlook Express newsgroup. I've crossposted your
message and set followups to the Windows OE 6 newsgroup, where you're more
likely to find help for your problem.
