Outlook Express Crashes On Startup

My previous OE5 on OS9.2 started crashing this week, so I deleted it
except for mail and address folders.  The new OE5 I downloaded today
still crashes midway thru loading, with an Error 2 or 3 message.  I
have plenty of memory, and even tried it with extensions off and it
still crashes.  Ironically, if I open it from OSX within Classic 9, it
opens fine but into a new file with no addresses or stored mail like it
has when opened in OS9.  But the bottom line is that I have to get it
working again completely in the OS9 environment.

Can anybody shed some light on this?  I really need to get OE5 running
ASAP.

Thanks.

By the way, OE5 started crashing right after Explorer crashed opening a
web page on Saturday and neither have worked since.

Have you tried deleting or moving the following yet?

Mac HD:System Folder:Preferences:Internet Preferences
Mac HD:System Folder:Preferences:MS Internet Cache:

If either is corrupt, OE might barf.
