Encounters a Problem

When I open Outlook Express I immediately get the "has encountered a problem
and must shut down" error message and it shuts down.

Anyone know a fix for this problem that doesn't require a lot of technical
computer knowledge?

Any help will be deeply appreciated.

Toss preferences in documents / micro user data?
