OE mail can not forward and has attachments

A few weeks ago I used Windows updates and the following resulted: My
outlook express messages all have attachments. I can't forward or reply to
the messages. All attachments with pictures have separate attachments for
each picture. My mail opens in C: Documents & Settings/Owner/Local/Temp
Internet files/Content IE.5/ then an Att000 something. What can I do?

Please use the equivalent Windows group this one is for Mac users...
