Greetings,
Although I used to be pretty proficient with Macs, I haven't used one
for 10-12 years so am completely ignorant about how to do things now.
My father (85) is the only Mac user in the family. Everybody else,
including my mother (81), uses Windows. He uses Mail, which I gather
is an OS-X included application.
My (Windows) Outlook (not Outlook Express) Contacts address book is
pretty complete, including extensive info for all our family members
(current addresses, all email addresses, multiple work, cell, fax phone
numbers, etc.
Is there any way I can import my address book into his Mail?
Intermediate steps, exporting to comma delimited files, etc., are all
OK, I can export the data from Outlook 2007 beta Contacts, Outlook
2003 Contacts, and/or Windows Mobile 2005 Contacts (each has the same
data) so if those file formats differ, I have a little flexibility on
the start end, but have no idea whether I can complete the process on
the Mac side.
Any help, suggestions, or knowledgeable discouragement welcome.

Hi Tim,
The Address Book application in OS X gives the user the option to import
vCards, LDIFs and "text files" (presumably CSVs). These options are all
available via File > Import within the Address Book application.
An alternative method is to go to /Library/Scripts/Mail Scripts, run the
Import Addresses.scpt file and follow the instructions.
I haven't tried the process with MS Outlook myself, so I don't know if it
works. Things should be fine if the data has come out of Outlook Express
though, so if you used that as an intermediate step, you should get some
success.
Good luck, HTH,
Ricky
