graphics in email without attachments

I get emails that include well-designed graphics - as if they were pdfs of
brochures, ads or posters - but they are not attachments.
I would like to email my own promos and would like to do it without
adding attachments - so the people receiving the email message will view the
promo when the message opens - and not have the choice to open the
attachment or not.
How is this done? Do I need a special program to do this?
I have Outlook Express 5.2.

It's not quite as easy as you might think in Mac OE 5, I'm afraid, though it
can be done. Take a look at Q011 on http://machelp.webhop.net/ for more
