how can retrieve accidentally deleted messages?

Hi folks - in a flurry of housekeeping i deleted a sent message which i now
need. how can i get it back? cheers

OK, you deleted the message from Sent Items, but did you also empty the
Deleted Items folder?  If not, the message will still be there.  Sorry if
that's patronising, but we need to check the simple things first(!)

If the message really has been cleared out, the only way that I can think of
to view its content is to use a text editor to open the following file...

Mac HD:Documents:Microsoft User Data:Identities:[your Identity]:Messages

This file is probably very large, and will look like it contains a lot of
gibberish when you open it.  However, if you look through the content, you
may well find your deleted message.  I can't think of any reliable way to
restore the original message back into OE.

There may be some AppleScripts available on http://www.scriptbuilders.net/
that could restore old messages, but I'm not sure.  Check it out and see if
that helps.
