Mac OS 9.2, Outlook Express 5.  Can download mail OK using POP account,
but when trying to open some messages get error "a lexicon 409 is
missing and damaged."  Not sure if this has to do with HTML in body of
message.  So far seems like plain text emails are OK, but some
newsletter/HTML type messages bring up error.  Had been able to open
these in the past.

Prior to this had been getting error "The end of file was reached" when
opening OE.  Resolved this by holding down Option key while opening OE
and chose option to do a complex rebuild of the database.  Also trashed
the Preferences for the Identity being used in OE, but did not help
anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

I'm not sure about this one, but since you mentioned that it only happens on
HTML e-mails, then it could be a font/language issue or perhaps even a
memory issue.

First, are you using OE 5.0.6?  If not, it's best to upgrade before doing
anything else...

I hope that helps, but if not, then we'll have to look at a possible
corruption in font preferences.  Post back if you're still having problems.
