Hello out there and HELP PLZ, if you can!!

since today (Oct 7) I accidentally hit the Command(apple) Key + T
thinking I could transfer an email via this command.Didnt work.

Since doing so, once I leave my incoming mail box for whatever
reason; when I return to it ITS TOTALLY EMPTY - cant find any of
the emails that I received and wanted to keep.

Are they anywhere findable?

I have OE 5,1 and use it on a G5, but with the OS 9,2

and I had a LOT of mails that I wanted to keep.
unlike trashed mails, i've seen no notice asking me whether
i wanted to supress them or not. so i hope they're still somewhere.

Many thanks if you have any ideas of how to get this back into working
order.
PS--If appropriate, vous pouvez aussi me répondre en francais.

Hi, You probably hit Command-Y instead, in which case your Inbox will only
display unread messages.  Go to the View menu and untick the "Unread Only"
option - that should fix it.
